Description

SLU-PP-332 Capsules: Research-Grade Pan-ERR Agonist

SLU-PP-332 is a synthetic small molecule that activates the estrogen-related receptors ERRα, ERRβ and ERRγ, a family of nuclear receptors that control genes for mitochondrial energy production. Because it switches on parts of the same program that endurance exercise triggers in muscle, it is often described in research as an “exercise mimetic.”

Stacked BioLabs supplies SLU-PP-332 in bottles of 60 capsules, 250 mcg per capsule, with a lot-specific certificate of analysis.

Research background

Despite their name, estrogen-related receptors do not bind estrogen. They are orphan nuclear receptors that, together with the co-activator PGC-1α, regulate genes for fatty-acid oxidation, mitochondrial biogenesis and oxidative metabolism. ERRα is particularly important in skeletal muscle and heart, which made it an attractive target for compounds intended to reproduce some effects of training.

SLU-PP-332 was developed by Thomas Burris’s group, then at Saint Louis University (the “SLU” in its name). In their studies it was most potent at ERRα, increased mitochondrial respiration in cultured muscle cells, raised the proportion of oxidative type IIa muscle fibres in mice, and increased running endurance. Follow-up work in diet-induced obese mice reported greater fatty-acid oxidation and energy expenditure with reduced fat mass, and other studies examined it in heart-failure models.

As a small molecule rather than a peptide, SLU-PP-332 suits capsule-format research. Related metabolic research compounds in the catalog include MOTS-c, BAM-15 and 5-Amino-1MQ capsules.

Verifying your lot

Every bottle carries a lot number. Match it to its certificate in the COA & lab reports library, which lists identity and purity results for that specific batch. A certificate applies only to the lot it names. If you can’t find a report for your lot, contact us and we’ll supply it. Keep the certificate in your lab records together with the product, strength and lot number, so every result can be traced back to the exact batch used.

A typical certificate reports purity by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and confirms identity by mass spectrometry (MS), comparing the measured molecular mass with the expected value for the compound. Check that the product name, strength and lot number on the certificate match the label before recording results.

Storage and handling

Keep the bottle tightly closed in a cool, dry place, away from light and moisture, and follow the storage instructions on the label. Record the lot number and the date the bottle is first opened so every use can be traced in your laboratory records. Do not transfer capsules into unlabeled containers, and keep the original bottle and its label with the material until the lot is used up or retired from your study.

Frequently asked questions

Does SLU-PP-332 act on estrogen receptors?

No. Estrogen-related receptors are a separate family of orphan nuclear receptors that do not bind estrogen.

Why is it called an exercise mimetic?

In animal studies it activated metabolic gene programs and muscle adaptations similar to those produced by endurance exercise.

What does each bottle contain?

60 capsules per bottle, 250 mcg SLU-PP-332 per capsule.

Is this product for human use?

No. This product is sold strictly for laboratory research use. It is not a drug, food, dietary supplement or cosmetic, and is not for human or veterinary use. See our RUO policy.
